We heard that The Genius's contract was renewed. Then we heard he resigned. Strange because he was eager and happy to stay. We wonder if he resign voluntarily or pressured to resign. There is also rumor that if he resign, some people will be safe from taken action. Trade off lah.
Actually, we feel a bit sorry for The Genius. People used him for their personal interest (Nak capai KPI, mah. Nak cepat naik pangkat, mah. Nak nampak hebat senarai paper panjang berjela, mah.). Now he is no longer useful, they abandon him. Where got honor among thieves.
If in the beginning someone, may be his former PhD supervisor, said to him: 'No, this is wrong. You shouldn't do this.', then all this $--- wouldn't happen. Instead, certain people in faculty management encourage, supported and protect him. A few people who dare said they doubt his amazing achievement was accused of professional jealousy.
So it looks like the clowns at the root of the corruption will get away and continue to masquerade as professors.
Your faculty must be full of clowns. A real circus!

ReplyDeleteIts not just that faculty, we have our own Geniuses at Faculty of Science....and their clown masters become Dean and Deputy Deans.
DeleteJust woke up here in Boston, and boy this was interesting. Got the link from a friend and you guys are knee deep in s@*%. Your faculty's site states that Jumaat and Gani are holding faculty administrator positions. This is like cops who are actually drug dealers. I'm not sure who Kiah is but he/ she is listed as a professor. To be honest, all these guys would have been given the boot had they been working over here. The sad thing is it looks like your university's reputation is going to suffer due to the misgivings of a guilty few.
