Revenge of the clowns

The clowns suspect a certain senior academic staff being behind this blog. So they analyzed her papers to see if she plagiarized. They found three papers and reported her to editors. Her papers were retracted for self plagiarism.

The papers build on the previous work. So she and her student explain what was done in previous papers (not unusual for people to refer and explain previous work), but editor decided that's self plagiarism and retracted papers.

When that happened, she sent email to members of top management, explained what happen and offer to resign. Of course, they told her not to resign. How can they ask her to resign when they don't do anything about the clowns. People at faculty also told her not to resign. Why should she resign when the clowns buat muka selamba tak tau malu when they cheat intentionally.

People have integrity admit their mistake and ready to accept consequence. Unlike clowns who arrogantly said they don't do anything wrong.

The clowns thought they got revenge. What they did is magnifify they have no integrity. What to do... clowns not very clever.

Dumb and Dumber

Chief Clown is supposed to retire in a few months. When Chief Clown gave his new year speech, he said that he is offered contract professor post when he retire. He said he is not going to accept the offer because he wants to rest.

UM top management is very funny. First they refuse to investigate misconduct complain. Then they retain people involved in misconduct allegation in faculty management. Now they offer contract professor to Chief Clown.

We heard Chief Clown applied for job at another university, went for interview and didn't get the job. At least management of other university has good judgement not to hire a clown, unlike UM top management who want to keep him as long as possible.

Now that he doesn't get the job, we bet he will accept the contract professor and stay at UM. Probably try to be dean as long as possible.

Tak tau malu punya orang. Bangang punya pengurusan tertinngi.

The Chief Clown

There is a very interesting fact about the Chief Clown. His bachelor degree is not in computer science or IT or any science field. He bachelor degree is in philosophy! No one know why and how he got hired as academic staff in computer science.

So how does Chief Clown teach CS subjects when he has no basic in CS? Like he does everything lah. Cheat and bluff. He goes into class, teach for ten minutes and then sembang about whatever irrelevant stuff. About his family lah, about his vacation lah.

How we know? Every semester students complain about his class. They say they don't learn anything in his class. Wasting time only. One lecturer told them to complain to head of department or deputy dean or dean (Chief Clown was not in faculty management at that time). The students didn't dare make formal complain because they said he threaten them. Something like this: if you complain about me, remember you will see me again for final year project evaluation etc, so you know what will happen to your grade?

His course evaluation is amazing good. How he achieve this? Students said he said to them, whatever evaluation your give for my course is the grade you will get.

Chief Clown like to bully people. Not just students. He bully staff also. We heard he wanted to throw a plate to a senior support staff.

When people don't agree with him, he threaten to take disciplinary action for ingkar perintah (disobeying order).

He also threaten to use exit clause to terminate people who don't achieve KPI. Very funny.... he got where he is by cheating and he threaten to terminate people who don't achieve KPI.

Anyone Chief Clown terminates should sue UM for double standard. Call press conference and expose the $--- Chief Clown has been doing and how top management turn a blind eye. Make top management explain why they don't take action on the clowns, extend the term of someone accused of misconduct in faculty management and give Chief Clown power to evaluate and terminate people. Put Chief Clown and top management in spot light. Chief Clown sangat gila glamer, bagi dia glamer.

Chief Clown is very big headed because he always get away with whatever $--- he did. He probably think he can get away with murder also.

Like all bullies, Chief Clown is insecure. Chief Clown is insecure because he knows people knows he is an idiot. He thinks by bullying, he can force people to respect him. He is too dumb to realize people don't respect him because he is a fraud and arrogant idiot.

I almost die laughing when he provoked a certain lecturer in faculty meeting and the lecturer response: You are the dumbest person in the faculty.

Ha ha ha... I agree. I never met anyone so dumb.

Bye bye bye

We heard that The Genius's contract was renewed. Then we heard he resigned. Strange because he was eager and happy to stay. We wonder if he resign voluntarily or pressured to resign. There is also rumor that if he resign, some people will be safe from taken action. Trade off lah.

Actually, we feel a bit sorry for The Genius. People used him for their personal interest (Nak capai KPI, mah. Nak cepat naik pangkat, mah. Nak nampak hebat senarai paper panjang berjela, mah.). Now he is no longer useful, they abandon him. Where got honor among thieves.

If in the beginning someone, may be his former PhD supervisor, said to him: 'No, this is wrong. You shouldn't do this.', then all this $--- wouldn't happen. Instead, certain people in faculty management encourage, supported and protect him. A few people who dare said they doubt his amazing achievement was accused of professional jealousy.

So it looks like the clowns at the root of the corruption will get away and continue to masquerade as professors.

Stop laughing at UM

We hear academicians from other universities sniggering on The Genius & Co. They are laughing becausethat UM - the oldest (best?) university in Malaysia - has such unethical researchers. Well, we have news for them. UM is not the only one publishing in this way. UTM, UKM and even UiTM also has academicians publishing with The Genius. Only UPM and USM are free from this scandal. You don’t believe me? Well, see the list:

How the collaboration work

The Genius said that he got the data for his papers from a collaborator. We managed to track down the collaborator and this is what happened when an editor met with this collaborator.

So The Gwnius told the collaborator that people like A. Gani and MLM Kiah are students working on the project?

The rumor

We heard rumor that UM top management is going to investigate publication misconduct after some mat salleh writes about publication misconduct in an international blog. If true, it is good and sad.

Good because they're finally investigating.

Sad because it takes some mat salleh to write before they investigate. When us locals write, it doesn't matter but when mat salleh write, it matter. Now is 2016 but there are still jakuns in awe of mat salleh.

Sad also because we heard that the investigation will focus on a certain international staff and all blame will be put on him. So the local 'researchers' will get away. Why the double standard? Why are they so sayang and protect the local mastermind and con artist?

Don't know how much of this rumor is true, so we wait and see.

May be we should contact that mat salleh and tell him about the double standard. May be if he writes about it top management will investigate and take action on EVERYONE involve in misconduct.
